- SFC G) 1000FT AMSL
- BACKGROUND INFORMATION
‘Fly YPK – Neighbourly Program’ brings together airport operators and the surrounding community in an attempt to minimize community disturbances caused by aircraft operations.
Canadian Flight Centre is committed to provide the highest quality of Flight Instruction, Aerial Work and Air Taxi operations, and to do so operating in a safe and neighbourly manner.
- OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
- All aircraft avoid overflight of noise-sensitive areas, unless unable due to operational/safety considerations, or as directed by ATC.
- Climb at best rate of climb and routing to minimise the noise impacts over residential areas.
- On descent, plan for a power off descent when flying over highly populated areas.
- Night circuits on Runways 18 and 36 require Prior Permission from the CFI.
- Runway 26L – Preferred runway for Night Circuits
- Takeoff with flaps UP
- Turn crosswind at 500 ft ASL
- Extend downwind until east of Golden Ears Bridge
- Maintain circuit altitude until established on final
- Perform a straight-in power-off approach
- Runway 08R – Use ONLY if winds make it unsafe to use Rwy 26L (i.e. >5kts Tailwind)
- Use full length of the runway (no intersection departure)
- Takeoff with flaps UP, static runup.
- Turn crosswind over the threshold of Runway 26L but not below 300 ft ASL
- Stay West of Harris Rd.
