Peter Schlieck

"I fly because it releases my mind from the tyranny of petty things..."
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

Airline Transport Pilot License, Class 2 Instructor Rating, Pilot Examiner M.E. and IFR, C.F.I. and CEO of Canadian Flight Centre

Peter started flying in the late 70’s in his soaring club in Germany. Building time by towing gliders with a Super Cub he prepared himself for his first flying job: As mechanical engineer he was required to travel extensively and his mode of travel would be a Piper Seneca. After moving to Canada in 1988, Peter soon received his Canadian PPL , followed by the Commercial License with Multi IFR and finally his Instructor Rating. For a few seasons he was teaching BCIT students. He then got involved with the development of a training program for Chinese airline students. Eventually the hobby turned into a fulltime commitment. Peter’s interest expanded to providing aircraft to flying schools and he provided anything from Cessna 152 to a King Air for the Chinese program – at the same time teaching on all of these planes. During his training and ferry flights he flew all over North America from Alaska to California and the East Coast. In 2007 he received the credentials of Pilot Examiner for Multi-Engine and IFR Ratings.

Peter took over CFC in 2009.

When he is not flying, Peter “flies” in a different environment. As a scuba diver and dive instructor he has visited many dive sites around the world, from famous ship wrecks in the Carribean or the Red Sea to cave diving in Mexico and Florida. He describes the world underwater as a “beautiful, but potentially hostile environment that demands our respect and full attention at all times – much like flying”.

Anna Serbinenko

"I want to fly these beautiful birds as far as they will take me."
Amelia Earhart.

Commercial Pilot License, Class 2 Aeroplane Instructor Rating, Class 1 Aerobatic Instructor Rating, CFO of Canadian Flight Centre

Anna did her first flight only 10 days after she moved to Canada, and never stopped flying since then: adventure and exploration flights in the mountains and islands, search and rescue missions in BC, a lot of training flights. With two wings and one engine, accompanied by her four year old son as a copilot, Anna explored the West Coast from Mexico to Alaska. And one year after her own first flight, she was already in the instructor's seat sharing her passion with new pilots.

In her other life, Anna is a doctor in financial mathematics, programmer, university teacher, mother. Anna joined CFC in December 2009 as an instructor, chief financial officer and IT specialist.

"I love teaching and i love flying. Flight instruction is a perfect combination of the two, and there can be nothing more rewarding than sharing with others what you like so much yourself", says Anna.

He was instantly hooked and has never looked back. Will settled in Pitt Meadows, BC wear he set to work studying aviation. Immediately after completing his private pilot's license, Will bought his own airplane, "Lucy" and began exploring North America. Later he combined his two passions of teaching and flying to make the natural leap to becoming a flight instructor. When he's not flying, you might find him riding his bicycle or tending the BBQ.
